Sunshine Skate 2008

The third prelim bout of the morning would have Tallahassee looking
even more powerful than their first bout as they skated past the Fort
Myers Derby Girls for a 63-7 win. Low Main would score nine points
in the second jam of the game, and add a 10 point jam in the sixth
jam of the bout. Battlescar Galactica would throw in two 9-point
jams and the Capital Punishment crew from Tallahassee would dominate
the game defensively shutting out Fort Meyers in seven of ten jams.
Low Main would lead all scorers with 24 points. Battlescar
Gallactica would add 18 points and Great Wall of Gina would score 13
points. Pixie Pounder and Low Maim would each add Jammer Takeouts
for their team. Lil Miss Slambags would lead Fort Myers with 3
points.
 

The winner of the fifth bout would make it into the semi-finals. The
Jacksonville Roller Girls would take out the Fort Meyers Roller Girls
in this important bout 41-17 to stay alive in the tournament. The
game was tied 11-11 in the fifth jam, but momentum would swing as
Jacksonville would outscore Fort Myers 18-1 in the next three jams
and the team from Jacksonville would never be threatened again. Nuke
would lead the Jacksonville Roller Girls with 13 points, along with
Deviant Behavior's 10 points. Fort Myers would be led in scoring by
Lil Miss Slambags, Dollface KillHer, and TeKilla Sunshine each with
five points.
